“ Had a wonderful datenight 29/3 with my husband, the food was really nice and the ambience nice and peaceful. It was not especially busy, and there were some beforehand ordered tables that arrived the sametime with us but we did not mind the wait at all. We had three cource meals and left back to hotel filled wit good food and feeling happy. Nothing to complain about, good job everybody. ”

“ We visited during a special offer that was going on, perfect timing! As we entered the restaurant, we asked to see a halal certificate, and the staff were more than happy to provide it. It was reassuring to confirm that they do indeed serve halal meat. For our mains, we went with steaks, and I’ve got to say, I was genuinely impressed. The steak was cooked just right, the shrimps had a nice little kick of flavour, and the sauce that came with the meal? Totally unique, definitely not your standard supermarket stuff. The mojitos were refreshing too, although they were a tad on the pricey side... but hey, sometimes a fancy drink is worth the splurge. “ Great Chophouse We went as a group of 15 family member with children. The reception catered for us well and we were sat at our table. The wait Mustafiz and colleagues offered high chair sat us down. When booked die to it being Christmas season we were asked to pre order our meals and any additions were later added. He ordered soft drinks mocktails and raspberry lemonade and and colas, bread and garlic butter was really nice and tasty. Our mains were a mixture of onion soup and calamari. We mains were the various offerings of steak and I had the rack of lamb chops the meat was soft and tender very tasty. The whole experience was very nice the with food and service to match. I had to try the sticky toffee pudding very delicious the toffee was tasty especially with the ice cream You must try this place it is a hidden. Gem of a food restaurant in Whitechapel. ”

“ First time trying this Whitechapel branch. Excellent cut of meats. Chose the mixed grill and the lamb chops were divine, so tender. Really loved the beef fillet and sirloin steak. The green beans are also good and the steak cut chips were fat & crispy. Our server was friendly and hospitable. ”

“ We got some simple but tasty starters with the meatballs providing the basic yet good quality flavours. The mains were a sirloin steak which was cooked medium rare as requested and they got that bit spot on. Theirs a choice of sauce but we got the garlic butter which was rich and buttery. We also got the American burger but the beef here was quite hard, maybe a one off. The desserts were great though, the dark chocolate brownie was rich and scrumptious. The sticky toffee pudding was my favourite though, just what you expect from a pudding. We were given a few drinks as well which really were lovely, different from your usual mocktails that are made using the same syrups. Overall, a nice little evening out for anyone looking for something fancy local. ”

“ Great total experience! Sunday lunch was a hidden gem. Excellent food, huge portions, not crowded - a big plus in London! We had the lamb and the beef which were both very good. Beet root salad was nice. Onion soup had plenty of cheese (we added a bit of salt - but so much better than over salted!) The small batch ice cream was amazing. Don’t miss the flakey dark chocolate, but my husband is a vanilla guy and was very pleased too. We had the special offer voucher which included a glass of very decent house wine. (Worth looking for!) “ We were 4, 3 of us celebrating our birthdays. So we decided to get us some good halal steak. The Chophouse popped up and the menu was very attractive. Loved the vibe of the place and how well isolated it is from the hustle and bustle outside. We had a reservation, the restaurant knew why we were coming. The initial impression was that the place was very clean and in prep mode for dinner service. We were seated promptly and were handed the menus as well. I liked that we were not rushed in making our choices for any of the drinks or courses. Kudos to the service for observing and being patient. We got a few mocktails first and scanned the menu for our starters: calamari and camembert duos. Camembert slapped but calamari while crispy felt a bit light on the calamari. It would be good if the restaurant would go for a little bit thicker cut. I would pay a bit more for it if need be. For the mains we shared a tomahawk with some garlic prawns and a selection of chips/fries and sauces. Steak: Good size for our appetites but more aimed at being shared between 2 people I would say. We made up for it with the garlic prawns which were very well cooked, dressed and chef's kiss all around. Chunky chips and the fries were very very good as well. Highly rate. Sauces wise the bearnaise and garlic butter combo was my fav with the steak. Also, cute note: the ketchup & mayo pots!! Such a nice touch! Dessert wise we went for sticky toffee pudding all round and that was the perfect end. Lighter than I'd expected and not too sweet. Really well balanced for my taste. Overall, I would go here again for such group dinners as there are few great halal steak places around here and this is certainly a contender in the top 10 in London. Just...more calamari plz. Shout-out to Ahad for the exemplary service all round! ”
